SAP has long been established as the premier ERP system of choice by leading businesses across industries. By connecting practically all the parts of these organizations into an intelligent suite on a digital platform, SAP has revolutionized the operations of these companies. IT visionaries from said companies, inspired by their own success and learnings from using SAP, recognized that a collaborative approach was key to fortifying the Philippine Information Technology community.
In 2018, guided by the principle of the whole being greater than the sum of its individual parts, bold and disruptive business technology leaders formed KauSAP. The organization's name is appropriately definitive of its purpose. In Filipino, the prefix "Ka" is defined as "a shared root with the succeeding word". "Usap" being the attached word is both the acronym of "Users of SAP" and the Filipino word for "discussion" or "conversation".
Beyond business and technology conversations grounded in SAP best practices and improvements, KauSAP is a non-stock, non-profit, technology vendor-independent organization meant to provide individual and corporate members, who are SAP users, a venue and forum for expertise collaboration to influence product roadmaps, business models, and support structure
